Would selling japanese/korean stationary in an online store work well in canada?
Is cute Japanese and Korean stationary (maybe also anime posters, and merchandaise ),in your opinion, popular and worth buying wholesale and spending time to make the online store and etc? (its just an idea...im nervous it won't work)

I've been looking for them myself and I live in Brampton, Ontario (the nearest asian mall that sells this stuff is the market village mall in toronto 
) so I was thinking there could be other ppl might want to buy cute stationary (like iwako erasers) but dont wanna travel as far as toronto just to get it or pay lots of shipping for those american online stores (ex. Eraser Crazy, hapaculture,kawaiikewpie)

The nice part of an online store is that it can cross boundaries. To gage the interest of people online in any topic I would highly recommend using the google adwords tool to check the search volume for keywords in that marketplace. basically type in what-ever search term you would use while looking to buy the product and see how many people a month search for the same thing. The more the better, of course. You will also see how competitive the market for those keywords is, and thus how many competitors you will have.
Also, you will need to establish your COG's (Cost of Goods) and match that against the retail price. Is there enough margin to make a living, better yet is there enough to allow you to create an affiliate program and spend some money on marketing?
You have a large amount of research to do before I would jump into that business, just like any investment.
